We have multiple different addiction treatment options
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), is the use of medications in conjunction with therapy, counseling and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of substance-use disorders. Southeast Addiction Center offers a variety of Medication-Assisted Treatment and is a Vivitrol treatment provider in the state of Georgia. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) backs the use of FDA-approved medications for the treatment of substance abuse to promote sobriety. In fact, studies have shown these modalities can help reduce cravings, alleviate post-acute withdrawal symptoms, and create sustainable recovery.

Fortunately, the Mental Health and Addiction Parity Act has made it a requirement for insurance to pay for drug and alcohol treatment for those struggling with addiction and mental health services. For that reason, your insurance offers benefits for addiction treatment. To receive a full insurance verification, and an assessment, please contact us today. You may be covered in full, however, you may be required to pay a co-pay. While each plan is different, the fastest way to find out if your insurance covers our services is by filling out our insurance verification form, or contacting us, here.
Southeast recommends at least 90 days of addiction treatment services prior to returning to your home area. 90 days is not always right for everyone and we offer different levels of care and collaborate with many different treatment providers across the state and country to ensure you get the services you need. We can also support community re-immersion for young adult patients to ensure they are given a solid foundation for early recovery.
The first step to admitting into Southeast is to talk with an Admissions Coordinator. They will explain the process, support your family in setting life saving boundaries to motivate any ambivalence toward treatment, and explain the costs of treatment after running a verification of benefits that explains to us what your insurance will cover. Before entering Southeast, a prescreen intake call will happen to ensure that your loved one is clinically appropriate at that time to admit into our extended care program
The amount of hours a person is required to participate in therapy are mandated by the state and insurance companies and is dependent on the level of care authorized. Partial Hospitalization levels of care require a minimum of 30 hours of ongoing clinical contact and support whether that be individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, or visits with the doctor and physician assistant. Intensive outpatient requires a minimum of 15 clinical contact hours per week and outpatient therapy requires a minimum of six clinical contact hours per week. All individual sessions with a therapist are at least an hour long and trauma based individual therapy that requires EMDR or SEP modalities can extend to an hour and a half.
