Individual Therapy

One on one therapy is a crucial component in successful addiction treatment. Many clients find that individual therapy is the key to breakthroughs in early recovery. It provides a safe space to process fear and trauma. Goals are set and progress is tracked in this safe and secure environment. Southeast Addiction Center includes individual therapy as a cornerstone of its program.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is just as important to well-rounded addiction treatment as one on one. Sustainable recovery thrives only when we learn to make connections. Therapy in a group session helps clients to understand they aren’t alone and realize that others identify with their pain. Ultimately, they learn one of the keys to growth and healing in recovery is learning how to help others. We make effective use of group therapy throughout our programs.

Family Therapy

Family sessions can be tremendously helpful in the recovery process. Addiction impacts not only the addict, but also the people closest to them. Involving the family directly can accelerate the healing process and also protect nascent recovery, allowing it to grow and flourish. Loved ones deserve to understand and participate in recovery and studies have shown greater levels of success when they do. Southeast Addiction Center is proud to offer Family Therapy sessions.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication Assisted Treatment or MAT can be a useful option for some patients with opioid or alcohol related disorders. A treatment plan that includes MAT uses FDA-approved medications to help alleviate post-acute withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. The primary goal of MAT is to increase the clients’ chance of successful early recovery by avoiding common pitfalls. MAT is always conducted in accordance with SAMSHA guidelines.

Using Insurance for Treatment

We work with many private health insurance providers. The Mental Health & Addiction Parity Act has made addiction care much more accessible that it was in the past. The first step in determining what insurance may cover is to contact us for an insurance verification followed by an over the phone assessment. Both are free of charge, private & do not obligate you to anything.

How Do I Choose a Program?

Choosing a treatment program can be a real challenge. One of the most important attributes you should look for is accreditation and licensing. A reputable treatment program will always have professional accreditations and be licensed by the state. It’s also important to find a program which offers family sessions, medication management and thorough discharge planning.

How do I begin?

The first step is to contact us, either by phone or through our online form. We can verify insurance benefits for you and determine what may be covered under your plan. Then a phone assessment is conducted so we can better understand your needs and ensure our program is appropriate for you. Assessments are completed between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday through Sunday.

Helping a Loved One

Families and friends are often impacted by the addictions of those they love. They can often find themselves feeling a bit helpless in the chaos that addictive behaviors can bring. There are several things you can do to help a person caught up in addiction. One of the most important is to simply let them know help is available & remain accessible to them without enabling.

Our Services

We Offer Several Types Of Care To Meet Your Needs

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

This is often the first phase of treatment after a medical detox. In PHP, a client dedicates a full day, 5-7 times a week to treatment. One on one therapy, case management and individualized treatment plans are all included. This is where a strong foundation is built for lasting recovery.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

The IOP generally follows PHP. IOP offers clients the opportunity to begin to exercise new recovery skills in the outside world, while still enjoying the security that our structure provides. Clients meet with a therapist individually once a week while they begin their transition into living recovery.

Outpatient (OP)

The OP phase of treatment is usually the final and most flexible. Evening case management, individual and group therapy are utilized. Clients also benefit from relapse prevention groups, trauma groups and even legal and financial assistance.

FAQ's

We’ve provided answers to some of our frequently asked questions
  • Fortunately, the Mental Health & Addiction Parity Act has made it a requirement for insurance to pay for drug and alcohol treatment for those struggling with addiction and mental health services. For that reason, your insurance offers benefits for addiction treatment. To receive a full insurance verification, and an assessment, please contact us today. You may be covered in full, however, you may be required to pay a co-pay. While each plan is different, the fastest way to find out if your insurance covers our services is by filling out our insurance verification form, or contacting us,

  • Southeast recommends at least 90 days of addiction treatment services prior to returning to your home area. 90 days is not always right for everyone and we offer different levels of care and collaborate with many different treatment providers across the state and country to ensure you get the services you need. We can also support community re-immersion for young adult patients to ensure they are given a solid foundation for early recovery.

  • The first step to admitting into Southeast is to talk with an Admissions Coordinator. They will explain the process, support your family in setting life saving boundaries to motivate any ambivalence toward treatment, and explain the costs of treatment after running a verification of benefits that explains to us what your insurance will cover. Before entering Southeast, a prescreen intake call will happen to ensure that your loved one is clinically appropriate at that time to admit into our extended care program

  • The amount of hours a person is required to participate in therapy are mandated by the state and insurance companies and is dependent on the level of care authorized. Partial Hospitalization levels of care require a minimum of 30 hours of ongoing clinical contact and support whether that be individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, or visits with the doctor and physician assistant. Intensive outpatient requires a minimum of 15 clinical contact hours per week and outpatient therapy requires a minimum of six clinical contact hours per week. All individual sessions with a therapist are at least an hour long and trauma based individual therapy that requires EMDR or SEP modalities can extend to an hour and a half.
